2) In writing.

You can do this by checking the items you need on your prescription or by filling out a form at the surgery.

You can also let us know if you want to set or change your nominated pharmacy.

Please wait two business days before picking up your prescription, and keep in mind weekends and holidays. We will not take prescription requests over the telephone.

Pharmacy Nomination

If you have already nominated a pharmacy, your prescription will be sent to them electronically unless you tell us otherwise. If you need to obtain a paper prescription for any reason, just let us know at the time of ordering.

Using the above online services you can select or change your nominated pharmacy at any time. This service is optional and you can continue to collect paper prescriptions as you do now if you prefer.

For more information, please speak to your pharmacist or a member of reception.

Find a local pharmacy

Pharmacists are experts in medicines who can help you with minor health concerns.

As qualified healthcare professionals, they can offer clinical advice and over-the-counter medicines for a range of minor illnesses, such as coughs, colds, sore throats, tummy trouble and aches and pains.

If symptoms suggest it's something more serious, pharmacists have the right training to make sure you get the help you need. For example they will tell you if you need to see a GP, nurse or other healthcare professional.

Many pharmacies are open until late and at weekends. You do not need an appointment.

Most pharmacies have a private consultation room where you can discuss issues with pharmacy staff without being overheard.
