Nurse Clinics

The Practice nurse's job is to treat, advise and counsel patients presenting with nursing needs. She plays a major role in health promotion and secondary illness prevention. She may assist the doctor with various procedures

Healthcare Assistants 

The healthcare assistant has her own surgery and is qualified to carry out treatment room duties. She works closely with the practice nurses.

Primary Health Care Team

The practice operates as part of a Primary Health Care team which includes the District Nurses, Health Visitors, Physiotherapists, Dieticians and Midwives. These health professionals are not based on surgery but come onto the premises to do clinics. 

Asthma

Patients with Asthma will be invited to see our Practice Nurse for their regular check-ups. You can also book directly into our Asthma Clinic if you would like to discuss any aspect of your Asthma treatment.

Contraception

Advice is provided by the Doctors and Practice Nurses in normal surgery. For ongoing contraception you can book directly in with the Practice Nurses.

Coronary Heart Disease

By appointment only. If you have this problem, our Practice Nurse will invite you for a check-up on a regular basis.

Diabetes Clinic

By appointment only. If you have diabetes, our Practice Nurse will invite you for a check-up on a regular basis. You can also book directly in to our Diabetes clinic to discuss any aspect of your Diabetic care.

Maternity Services

Provided by the Community Midwife and all the Doctors.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy clinics are held each week at the practice. Clinics are also held at St. Luke's Hospital. You can book in directly to a physio without the seeing a GP first.

Smoking Cessation Clinic

We will be happy to help you quit smoking with our friendly one to one regular clinics. We will use a variety of methods to help you including patches, tablets, gum and other methods. Feel free to book directly into the clinic by speaking to one of our receptionists.

COPD/Spirometry

By appointment only booked by the nurse

Social Prescriber

Our social prescriber has clinics every week at the practice. They see a wide range of patients regarding: Anxiety, Low mood, Life problems, Depression, Daily life struggles, Loneliness, Domestic abuse, LD struggles.

Mental Health Worker

Our Mental Health worker has clinics every week at the practice. He sees patients regarding Low Mood, Anxiety, Stress, Poor coping - result of long covid, Poor coping - any other physical issues, Unusual perceptions, Paranoia, Auditory/Visual hallucinations, Potential bi-polar presentation

Travel Vaccinations

If you're planning to travel outside the UK, you may need to be vaccinated against some of the serious diseases found in other parts of the world.
